Intel Motherboard Replacement Procedure

If you’re facing any issue with your Intel motherboard, please make sure that the problem is with the motherboard. Once you’re sure that the problem is with the motherboard then follow the procedure given below. You’ll definitely get a replacement motherboard provided it’s within a warranty period. It takes around 3 - 4 weeks to get a replacement motherboard.

• Bus speed of the RAM (Ex: 667 MHz, 533 MHz, and 400 MHz etc):

Exact issue that you are facing with the motherboard: (Ex: No Display, Intermittent Display, No Audio, Restarting etc)

- Is the motherboard LED glowing?

- Is the SMPS fan spinning?

- Troubleshooting steps performed by you in order to isolate the issue

Once you send these information to Intel, they reply with the troubleshooting steps to try like:

1. Did you make any hardware or software changes on the system?
2. Did you try integrating the computer using only basic components? What was the result?
3. Insert RAM in blue slot.
4. Did you remove the CMOS battery out of the computer for about 20 to 30 minutes?

If the problem persists after following the troubleshooting steps, they’ll send you the motherboard replacement order details. Before returning the motherboard, make sure you remove the RAM, CPU and other components. Very important – on motherboard the CPU socket should not be open. Make sure you place the PnP cap on it. When you purchase a motherboard, it comes with the cap placed on the CPU socket. If you do not have the PnP cap, contact Intel Technical Support so the part can be shipped to you. If you send the board without the PnP cap, Intel may reject the package and return the product to you.
