If you have a computer, which is rarely utilized, then MaxiVista can help you to connect the PC as the second monitor for another computer. For doing this, there will not be any need of extra hardware.MaxiVista can be used with any sort of combination of laptop, tablet PC or desktop, to mirror or extend the screen content of the primary PC. MaxiVista is also compatible with multi-monitor systems based on hardware, and two dual monitor systems may be put together to prepare a display of four monitors from the primary PC.
The software of the server is fixed up in the primary PC. Then the program of the server is utilized to produce a viewer file of small type, which is duplicated to the PC of the secondary type and run. MaxiVista operates ideally on one’s current PC with a dual-monitor.
The PC of the secondary type may be operated in background so long as one does not require viewing the screen. In mirror style, the screen content upon the initial display may be copied to the secondary display.
Multiple monitors enable program switching and comparing documents easier than before. If quality is not a major issue, you may choose used or older monitors at online auctions, or at discount stores or computer outlets.

Review of Toshiba’s CEVO-Engine 01:15
Toshiba is happy about its upcoming CEVO-Engine, which is going to launch in the beginning of next year in a price range of “sub-€5,000″. So, CEVO-Engine in a nutshell is a bunch of those multicore processors stacked on top of each other and that allows more picture processing. The Cell of these microprocessors are capable of converting 2D to 3D but the CEVO-Engine is capable to set aside a whole processor for it, with its surprisingly decent results. It can also upscale the half resolution 3D into 1080p.
The CEVO-Engine with ultra-bright LED is going to be a masterpiece creation from Toshiba. As its name suggests it comes with a ultra bright LED panel for display. The working of this power packed machine is totally different from a regular TV. It works with powerful microprocessors and ultra bright LED panel that is controlled by the CEVO-Engine itselt. The CEVO-Engine is the core component of the machine which controls the all graphical processing in the machine. The machine is supported by cell microprocessors stacked on the top of each other and with the help of these microprocessor the engine becomes capable of processing the pictures with more efficiency. The whole panel of display comprises of more than three thousand LED’s and with a combination of these micro LED’s and the processing power of CEVO-Engine the machine becomes capable of processing HD images and videos. Apart from this, the CEVO-Engine introduces the prepping 3D technology. This technology makes sense to the realm of 3D. It helps in the rendering of 3D objects and Peoples are particularly excited about the prepping 3D technology for display. In this technology the adjustment of brightness and colors can be made to compensate the dimming effect of 3D glasses. The necessary headroom for this is provided by 3,000+ LEDs. Those lights will be split into 512 locally dimmed regions. The CEVO-Engine performs the heavy lifting of image analysis. Actually it’s painful to look at these displays at full brightness when the lights are off but when the shutter of glasses are on we found that the picture is as close to “regular”.
Reports: Windows Slate to be released by end of 2010
As per the market rumors, Microsoft is planning to launch Windows slate by Christmas this year. They are planning to throw a big competition for apple’s iPad. It is interesting to see a new slate device from the software giant as they are popular for great innovations in the technology. Apple’s iPad is getting popular day by day and it is selling 5 million units per quarter that is big headache for Microsoft. So, now Microsoft decided to launch Windows 7 based slates this year to stay in the tablet computer market.
Earlier in this year, Microsoft chairman Mr. Bill gates told that Microsoft is undertaking a lot of tablet computer project. One of the projects is an innovative combination of the dual screen book with stylus and finger input. Microsoft is working very hard for a new tablet book to produce an answer to Apple’s iPad. There is one more big worry for Microsoft; they saw a 2% fall in recent US trading. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said earlier this year at London school of Economics “you will see the tablet and you will find that it has everything that you want from a computer”. He also said that they are very close to launch and finally are going to launch it by Christmas this year. They unveiled the Windows slate on October 11 this year also.
Hybrid Laptop from Lenovo®
After its successful strategic decision almost six years ago, of acquiring IBM’s PC business, Lenovo has emerged as the world’s 4th largest PC vendor and the largest PC vendor in China. Recent reviews show Lenovo positioning itself as the 5th largest PC vendor in India and proving themselves as a brand to stand with. In India alone, Lenovo claims to have grown 60% year on year. With the evolution of All–in-Ones, the monitor integrated with the CPU concept, and, the smartphone as well as tablet markets emerging in a phenomenal way worldwide, Lenovo’s strategic hybrid smartphone and docking station, using two different operating systems, not only is an interesting innovation but, also a perspective changing product line.
With the battle of the iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 raging, Lenovo has interestingly combined their hybrid product with the Android OS on the tablet and Windows OS on the docking station, making a very interesting combination. In India, the Mac market has been sluggish compared to the Windows platform on PCs, notebooks, netbooks and even servers. As far as India is concerned at least, the hybrid LePad and IdeaPad, with the benefit of both worlds, the Android world and the Windows arena, seem to be a winning strategy for Lenovo.
This product range is expected to hit the Indian market anytime in the second quarter of 2011, after its launch in China in March 2011. Interestingly after its massive success with desktops, laptops and notebooks and netbooks, Lenovo’s foray into the tablet market, with a new business group, focused exclusively on developing the facility, for creating unique mobile devices, is innovative.
HP’s new laptops provide easy self-repair
In the last week of the month of February 2011, HP made public some very useful information about is new business laptops. These laptops will now be loaded with features that would make the task of swapping components or fixing the PCs much easier. These business laptops, the new EliteBook and ProBook, will be having Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. They will be shipped worldwide in the month of March 2011.
The most striking feature of these laptops is the panel they would have at the bottom that can be separated with ease to uncover the fan, hard drive, memory and networking modules. What makes this feature so striking is that in the previous models the screws had to be taken out to remove the panel. Now this task would be as easy as just removing the panel and replacing it with the most updated components to keep your system in tune with time.
According to the officials of HP, if a person wants to upgrade the memory, swap the hard drive, add a wireless WAN card, the new models make the tasks very simple for them. For instance, in the previous models where it was required to remove a keyboard to upgrade memory; it was very tough to remove a fan. In the new models, with the placement of the substitutable components at the bottom, the replacement of a part won’t put others components at risk.
To add to it, the laptops will also have an advanced version of QuickWeb, a quick-boot supporting environment, which enables the user to boot or start the system in flash of seconds. It will make the task as easy as checking the e-mail. Moreover the laptops are all set to be more rugged. In the EliteBook we can have the luxury of choosing from the two new models of laptops.
